Do outdated teaching tools and methods sometimes leave you bored and disinterested? NewPoint uses the Apex Learning Academic Curriculum. These dynamic online tools were first created in 1997 by Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft. Now they’re being used by over a million students in 4,000 school districts. With Apex Learning, students are encouraged to explore further and think critically. It’s a rich, in-depth learning experience that uses video, animation, audio and interactivity to raise student achievement. Professional internship program Preparing for the demands of the 21st century workforce can’t happen in the classroom alone. That’s why Newpoint embraces the highly successful Cristo Rey Network’s “Corporate Work Study” model. After undergoing a three-week training program, students actually work one day a week in corporate entry-level jobs. Here they gain real world skills and learn first-hand what it takes to succeed in corporate America and on a college campus. In return, employers pay Newpoint and these funds are used to augment tuition and establish college scholarships for every participant. > Learn more
