Dear Newpoint Bay Students and Parents,
We are having a busy summer at Newpoint Bay as we continue our move to the new facility at 1515 June Avenue. Currently, painting is in process, classrooms are being set up with tables and computers, the network system is being tested, and our new signs are being prepared! As I see the new facility coming together, I am very excited about the start of a new school year!
Our move will be completed by Monday, August 3rd. Beginning on this date, all office functions will be moved to our new location.
Please read below for other important dates and things to do before school starts on Monday, August 24th:
Grand Opening
Be sure to join us for our Grand Opening at our new facility, 1515 June Avenue, on Thursday, August 6th at 6:00 pm. We will have tours of the school, opportunities to meet the teachers and staff, and refreshments. Watch for your invitation in the mail soon.
Intern Training
The Professional Internship Program is an integral part of the Newpoint curriculum. All students are expected to participate fully in internships as they are assigned. Each student participating in the internship program earns a credit in Executive Internship. In preparation for a successful year of interning, all students are expected to attend an internship training session before school starts. Please see the following schedule for these training sessions (all trainings will be held at the school, 1515 June Avenue):
* Monday, August 10th (8 am - 12 pm) - All students who participated in an internship at Newpoint Bay last year
* Tuesday, August 11th (8 am - 12 pm) - All returning Newpoint Bay students who did not participate in an internship last year
* Wednesday, August 12th (8 am - 12 pm) - All new students whose last names begin with A - J
* Thursday, August 13th (8 am - 12 pm) - All new students whose last names begin with K - Z

Freshman/New Student Orientation
All new students and parents should plan to attend an orientation session on Thursday, August 20th at 6:00 pm at the school. Students will be provided with schedules and other important information and have the opportunity to visit their classes and meet the teachers.
Uniforms and Supplies
Now is the time to be sure you have ordered uniforms and supplies for next school year. Please visit our website at www.newpointschools.org and click on the Spirit Store to order. I would encourage you to get your order in early so that you have plenty of time to receive your shirts before school starts. If you need sizes for shirts, we have samples available to try on at school.
There are two options for supplies available for purchase online. Students are encouraged to purchase one of these options to be certain that they have all of the supplies they need. Supply kits will be delivered to students on the first day of school.
